OGI – India Child Care Project
During our recent meeting at headquarters, our India Director, Thomas Maher, shared his deep passion for addressing the urgent needs of vulnerable children. We discussed his commitment to providing daily nourishment for hungry children, educational support for those facing illiteracy, essential medical care for the sick, and spiritual enrichment through the Gospel and Bible teachings. This meaningful conversation highlighted the critical challenges these children face and the importance of our collective efforts to support them. Through this dialogue the OGI — India Child Care Project was born.
Our Mission
We are committed to transforming the lives of children in vulnerable communities by addressing their most pressing needs. Our Mission is centered on feeding hungry children, ensuring that no child suffers the pain of hunger. We strive to educate underprivileged children by providing essential resources that empower them to break the cycle of poverty.
Our Initiative
In addition, we supply vital nutritional vitamins to promote the health and well-being of children at risk of malnutrition. Our Initiative also aims to eliminate child labor by creating safe and nurturing environments where children can thrive and learn. Furthermore, we emphasize the importance of spiritual growth, teaching God’s Word to guide children away from the challenges of a troubled world.
Uplift the Lives of Children
Our mission is to uplift the lives of over 6,000 children in India through the Gospel and essential resources. We are supported by 106 dedicated directors from Operation Go International India, each caring for approximately 50 children within their respective mission fields. To sustain this critical initiative, we need a monthly budget of $270,000, which translates to just $45 per child for the month, or $1.50 a day to provide vital nourishment. Every dollar you contribute goes directly toward the daily feeding of these children, ensuring they receive the nutrition necessary for their growth and development.
