OGI has an amazing opportunity that is unique and desperately needed in East Africa. I want to say this project will stretch us beyond anything we have ever done and has the potential to be one of the most rewarding things we have ever accomplished. When I was in Kenya in August of 2023 along with my daughter, Hannah, and our African Director, Peter Chege, God authored a divine interruption and appointment that was not on the Schedule. Without taking a lot of time to explain how that happened, let me say that God put Bro. Peter and I face-to-face with the Commissioner of Commerce of Kenya while on an unscheduled visit to Nairobi. It was a chance meeting in human terms but divinely ordered by God. The commissioner introduced me to Mr. Muriuki, the owner of Soy Afric. This plant is a business and a ministry that is trying to bring relief to East Africa during the famine that is ravaging the whole area.

Soy Afric produces fortified meals for the very malnourished, especially children and the elderly. We were asked to tour the plant that develops, produces, and packages these meals. It is an amazing program and ministry that is helping to feed East Africa. They produce a high-quality product and a sincere desire to make a difference. They have asked OGI to partner with them and presented a tremendous opportunity for OGI to feed the hungry and get the gospel to millions of people.
We have been asked to buy the raw tonnage of materials they need to make the meals. They will produce the meals, package the meals, and help with the distribution of the meals all over East Africa. They will put OGI’s logo and information along with the plan of salvation on every meal, all at no cost to our ministry.
